“I love sports more than pretty things,” and some other things you won’t read on the About page
For anyone stumbling on to my blog, or for some of the new readers here, I figured why not post a short list of things about me that you might not know.
A little background first, I started SincerelyJFK because I’ve always loved to write and I finally listened to that voice in my head telling me to live outside of the lines and do something with it. My blog is where I can be creative, and I’ve needed every second of it.
Now for ten fun or maybe even surprising things about me:
I love sports more than pretty things. I didn’t like to be girly or dress up until more recently, and I hated prom (only went to one) because I thought it was annoyingly prissy.
I’m in my glory at a small coffee shop in a quaint downtown with it snowing outside. Also at a brewery or rustic pub when it’s snowing... Really, anywhere in the snow.
I would take old, authentic architecture over sleek and modern any day. I have a fascination with dramatic light fixtures and classic typewriters.
I prefer mountains to the beach but can stare out at the ocean for hours. The ocean calms my anxiety like no other.
My favorite artists are: Adele, Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd and Drake.
I’m a beverage queen and bring at least two tumblers with me everywhere I go. Beer is actually my favorite alcoholic beverage, but I drink more wine. Tequila is my favorite liquor but it makes me cry.
I will celebrate my 3rd anniversary of being 30 in November. I’m from Beverly, graduated BFHS in ‘06, and now live in Salem with my very Sachem husband, Shane. I’m a Wildcat at heart 🐾 (UNH ‘10).
I believe anyone and anything looks better in black, but I’ll incorporate neutrals like beige and whites, and I’m recently obsessed with muted blues. Blush is as pink as I can get.
NYC is my favorite big city to travel to but only because Chicago is a plane ride away.
Outer-space literally gives me anxiety to think about. Birds are my biggest fear.
Also, besides being taken in a Bellagio hotel room mirror, this picture above is a real life look into my marriage and household (eye roll).
Hopefully we may have more things in common than you initially thought! And even if not, I hope you still look forward to reading along and I appreciate you being here.
